Halle Berry Joins a Jewel Heist Thriller

In just two weeks, cameras will start rolling for a new thrilling film called "Crime 101," which Amazon MGM Studios is producing. The cast list is impressive, with Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan already on board. Now, Halle Berry has joined them, bringing even more star power to the project. The story is based on a short tale by Don Winslow. It's about a series of clever jewelry thefts along the Pacific Coast Highway that have baffled police for years. They think it's the work of Colombian cartels, but one detective named Lou has his own theory—he believes just one person is responsible. This thief follows a strict code they call "Crime 101." But as the thief plans their final big score, Detective Lou decides to break all the rules and catch them red-handed.

Bart Layton, known for directing films like "American Animals" and "The Imposter," is at the helm of this movie. He also wrote the script and executive produced "The Tinder Swindler" along with other unscripted series. The production team includes big names like Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner from Working Title, Shane Salerno from The Story Factory, and others. Chris Hemsworth is not just acting but also producing alongside his partner Ben Grayson. Halle Berry has been busy with films this year.
