In Avon Lake, a new shop called The Crafted Corner has taken over where Impressive Creations 4 U left off. Heidi Cruz, the new owner, saw a chance to keep the local craft scene alive and took it. She bought the business in August 2025, bringing her family's crafting expertise to a physical storefront for the first time.

The Crafted Corner is a hub for local artisans. With 46 vendors and room for more, it's a place where unique, handmade items can find a home. Cruz and her family have a background in screen printing, laser engraving, and 3D printing, but they respect the space of other vendors by not selling competing products.

The shop offers a wide range of items, from bath and beauty products to jewelry and nostalgic candy. The inventory is always changing, with many vendors offering custom work. Cruz believes in supporting her vendors, charging only a flat monthly fee with no commissions or required hours.

A Dream Come True

Cruz's dream of owning a business came true sooner than she expected. She wanted to keep the shop open for the sake of the older vendors who might not have another place to sell their crafts. She values the personal touch and passion that goes into each handmade item, something she believes is missing in mass-produced goods.
