Heart‑breaking Home Tragedy in Jackson

Jackson, Mississippi, USAMonday, June 29, 2026

Nightmare on Queen Alexandria Lane

A quiet evening on Queen Alexandria Lane turned into a nightmare when police arrived to find three bodies inside a house. The victims were two women, aged 26 and 30, and a toddler who had just turned two. The sheriff’s office confirmed that all three were shot multiple times and died from their injuries.

Police were called around 9:15 p.m. after reports of gunfire. Officers discovered the scene and immediately began gathering evidence. Chief RaShall Brackney described the case as “a horrifying and a vile crime,” urging residents to share any information that might help solve the mystery.

Local resident Malik Mayberry witnessed a vehicle leave the scene just before police arrived. He and a friend were on their way to a store when they saw the car pull away from the house. “Everything looked normal at first,” Mayberry recalled, before the area was lit up with police lights.

Later that day, authorities found a red 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage in Manhattan Park. The car had been taken during the incident and was now empty, but investigators plan to search it for evidence. Police are still working to identify the suspect and locate any other vehicles involved.

The case remains active, with investigators asking anyone who might have seen or heard something that night to come forward. Community cooperation is deemed crucial for bringing justice to the victims and their families.
