Heatwave Tragedy: A Mother's Fight for Change
Lake Elsinore, USAWednesday, October 2, 2024
Yahushua loved running with his friends, but that day, the combination of heat and physical activity proved deadly. He had a heart defect that no one knew about, and the intense conditions made it worse. His family was devastated. They wondered if things could have been different if he hadn't been outside in the heat.
Janee was determined to make sure this didn't happen to anyone else. She fought for a new law called Yahushua's Law. This law requires the California Department of Education to create rules that protect students from harsh weather conditions. It's a big step towards preventing future tragedies like this one.
