Heidi Klum's Out-of-This-World E. T. Costume Shines at Halloween Party

For over two decades, Heidi Klum has been known for her epic Halloween parties and mind-blowing costumes. This year, she once again outdid herself by channeling the beloved extra-terrestrial from the classic film E. T. On October 31st, Klum's annual bash at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City saw many celebrities like Nicole Scherzinger, Kelsea Ballerini, and Suni Lee pulling out all the stops with their pop culture impersonations. But Klum's E. T. costume stole the show. With a team of artists and prosthetics experts, she recreated the iconic scene where E. T. dresses up as a “human” girl. Despite going with a unique twist of having E. T. dressed in a red robe, black scarf, hat, and a blond wig, Heidi managed to keep her signature style of barely any clothing.

The costume was so detailed that upon closer inspection, you could spot Heidi’s face within E. T. ’s neck. The New York Times reported that Klum was inspired to be E. T. only weeks after last year's party, drawing from the alien's lack of genitals. “I like the whole idea of, like, we’re all the same, ” she explained. Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, also joined in the extraterrestrial fun, dressing as E. T. with varying accessories, making theirs a standout couples' costume.
