High School Sports Highlights: Tuesday's Action

Boys soccer saw an exciting matchup as St. John's Prep beat Minnewaska 6-1 in a Section 8A Play-In game. They'll now face Cathedral, the top seed, on Thursday night. In volleyball, Tech dominated Apollo 3-0, with Miracle Jensen leading the way with 12 kills. Albany also had a strong showing, beating Cathedral 3-0. Elk River defeated Sartell-St. Stephen 3-0, with Liv Terhune scoring 8 kills for Sartell. ROCORI won a close match against Detroit Lakes 3-2, with Kate Holthaus leading with 39 kills. Foley and Monticello also won 3-0 against Little Falls and Becker, respectively.

Girls swimming and diving saw the Apollo-Cathedral-St. John's Prep team lose a close meet to Alexandria 98-88. Elizabeth Krueger had notable performances in the 500 free and relays. In cross country, the Cathedral boys finished 5th at their home meet, with Carson Rolph placing 13th. The girls team shone, with Katelyn Waldoch setting a personal best and finishing first overall. They'll all compete next at the conference meet in Pequot Lakes.
