Baseball: Marshfield Dominates, Hanover Pitcher Dazzles

Marshfield High secured an 8-1 victory over Plymouth North, fueled by sophomore Teddie Holte’s dual-threat performance. Holte pitched five innings, allowing just one earned run and three hits, while also driving in two runs at the plate. Senior first baseman Noah Feldman went 3-for-3, scoring two runs and adding another RBI. Sophomore Caden Altobello contributed with a triple, helping the Rams notch their fourth win in five games.

Hanover’s Aidan Van Dyk was nearly untouchable, striking out 12 batters over a complete game, walking three and surrendering only one hit. Meanwhile, Scituate’s Matt Whitman struggled, allowing six hits and two earned runs in five innings.

In another dominant outing, Silver Lake’s Liam O’Keefe struck out nine and went 3-for-4 at the plate, leading his team to an 11-0 shutout over Whitman-Hanson.

Milton’s Rafa Corcoran pitched five strong innings, striking out seven and allowing just one earned run, as the Eagles defeated Newton North 10-3. Wildcats Ben Doak and Teddy Dunn led the offensive charge, while relief pitcher O’Sullivan kept the game in control.


Lacrosse: Close Games, Power Plays, and Hat Tricks

Girls’ Lacrosse

Norwell narrowly defeated Foxboro 9-8, with Meri Horlbeck delivering a hat trick. The game featured multiple double-digit scorers, while Norwell’s goalie Elsie Horlbeck made six saves to secure the win.

Boys’ Lacrosse

Cohasset edged Norwell 14-13 in a high-scoring thriller. Tim Donovan led the way with eight goals, while Will Santacroce added a hat trick to spark the victory.


Softball: Explosive Offenses & Dramatic Finishes

The softball diamonds were lit up with powerful hitting. Braintree’s lineup exploded for 12 runs, with Millie Aveni and Kate Fosco driving in multiple RBIs. Hanover’s Nora Barrett went 4-for-4, including a home run and a double, while tallying eight RBIs in a commanding performance.

In a nail-biter, Duxbury’s Avy Thompson and Saoirse Thompson each contributed three runs, securing a 10-9 win over Hingham.


Tennis: Sweeps, Singles Victories, and Upsets

Girls’ Tennis

Several straight-sets victories highlighted the day. Brockton’s Logan Lin and Shyrose Coddett swept their opponents, while Oliver Ames’ Kathryn Weiler captured a win in the second singles. Notre Dame Academy also secured a match victory against Bishop Feehan, proving the depth of competition.

Men’s Tennis

Whitman-Hanson took a tight 3-2 win over Silver Lake, with Brett Schwede and Sebastian Petrus dominating the doubles. Duxbury’s Willy Pierce claimed a singles win, helping his team secure the victory.
