Hisense's New TriChroma LED Tech: A Game Changer for TVs

Imagine a TV that can produce colors more efficiently and brightly than ever before. That's what Hisense is promising with its new TriChroma LED technology, which was showcased at CES 2025. Unlike traditional LED TVs that use white or blue backlights filtered into colors, TriChroma LED TVs generate colors directly from red, green, and blue LEDs. This means less light loss and better color accuracy. The tech is based on Mini-LED, with thousands of tiny LEDs controlled in clusters, improving brightness and contrast.

Hisense claims the 116UX model can reach a stunning 10, 000 nits of brightness, much higher than current OLED TVs. However, until the TV hits markets, we can only speculate about its true performance. The future of TVs might be brighter, literally, if TriChroma LED lives up to its hype.
