In the world of ice hockey, achieving 1, 000 career points is a massive deal. Bobby Hull of the Chicago Black Hawks did just that in 1971. During a game against the Minnesota North Stars, Hull scored his 1, 000th point with an assist in the first period. This significant milestone came in a 5-3 victory that showcased Hull's skills and consistency over his career. But let's rewind a bit. Before Hull's achievement, other sports stars also made history on this date. In 1937, rookie quarterback Sammy Baugh turned the tide with some impressive touchdown passes.
