How Nepal's Political Parties Get Their Report Card

Using a big survey with 4, 191 people from 43 out of 77 districts, collected between December 2017 and March 2018, researchers found some pretty interesting stuff.

Turns out, citizens care about honesty, being open (transparency), following rules, and keeping corruption in check. When political parties get good grades in these areas, they score high on accountability. Another cool find? When people chat about politics, it can boost a party's accountability score, even if it doesn't always show up as a big deal in the stats. What's the takeaway? Honesty, openness, rule-following, and anti-corruption efforts are key for political parties to win trust and stay accountable. This study gives insights that can help Nepal's political scene get sharper, fairer, and more trustworthy.
