How Temperature Changes Affect Root Canal Sealer Bond Strength
USASunday, January 19, 2025
After preparing the root canals with these solutions, the researchers tested the bond strength of the bioceramic-based sealers in different regions of the canals. They found that warmer irrigation solutions improved the bond strength of the sealers. The type of solution also played a role, with EDTA showing better results compared to Dual Rinse® HEDP. Interestingly, the bond strength was weaker in the apical region than in the middle region.
It's intriguing how small changes in temperature can make a big difference in the effectiveness of root canal treatments. This study highlights the importance of considering temperature when choosing irrigation solutions.
