How Text Messages Could Boost Colposcopy Appointments

That's where mobile health (mHealth) could step in. By delivering reminders and educational content via text messages, mHealth makes it easier for women to stay informed and remember their appointments. This method could revolutionize patient outreach by meeting women where they are in a convenient and accessible way.

Current healthcare practices rely heavily on face-to-face contact and personal counseling. Public health officials have already begun exploring how technology can supplement these methods, with promising results. Expanding TC3 to include mHealth could improve attendance rates significantly and help reduce health disparities among minoritized women.
