Ignored at Home: Why Americans Care Less About Ukraine and China
Tennessee, USASaturday, November 2, 2024
Some people might argue that helping Ukraine is good for America. But for many, it's not a priority. They want their local problems solved first. Plus, some feel that the U. S. shouldn't be the world's policeman. They think America should focus on its own issues, like economic struggles and community decay.
It's also important to note that not everyone benefits equally from military aid. Many districts that oppose aid to Ukraine don't have factories that make military supplies. So, they don't see much benefit from the aid. This shows that maybe the U. S. isn't doing enough to connect its military spending with the needs of its people.
In the end, it's clear that many Americans want their government to focus on their local problems. They want solutions that directly help them, not just far-off conflicts.
