A mysterious air object swooped over NATO land in Romania. It zipped across the border from Ukraine and headed west, watched by Romanian radars. Two Romanian F-16s roared into action but couldn't spot the intruder. It vanished just north of Tulcea, near Ukraine’s port of Izmail. This isn’t the first time either—this week alone saw at least three unknown objects buzzing through Romania’s airspace. No one's sure if it’s Russian, but Russian drones have been making unwelcome visits since the start of the Ukraine war.

Two days before this incident, another object sneaked into Romanian territory, and another slipped in a couple of days before that. These puzzling incursions are stretching nerves and testing NATO’s response. They don’t seem like intentional attacks, but tensions are sky-high. Lithuania’s foreign minister says this was unthinkable three years ago but now feels routine.
