Ironheart's Mixed Reception: A Look at the Numbers and Reviews
Chicago, USAWednesday, June 25, 2025
The audience seems to agree with the critics, giving it a 71% score. Reviews are mixed. Variety says Ironheart tries to tell too many stories at once and isn't very focused. Empire thinks the show hasn't fully taken off yet and needs some serious improvements for a second season. IGN calls it a "cynical addition" to the MCU. Even though the story is a bit predictable, the final episode is worth watching.
Ironheart follows Riri Williams, a young genius inventor, as she returns to Chicago and gets involved with a mysterious character named Parker Robbins. The series explores the clash between technology and magic. It features a talented cast, including Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, and Alden Ehrenreich.
The show was made during a busy time for Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, which might explain why it's not as strong as other Marvel projects. Still, a 72% score means it's not a total miss. If you're a Marvel fan, it's probably worth checking out.
