Japan's Government Caught Editing Cabinet Photo After Online Mockery
Tokyo, JapanMonday, October 7, 2024
A frontal image posted later on Ishiba’s website looked a bit too perfect. The shirts were nowhere to be seen, which raised some eyebrows online. People started joking about the cabinet's untidy attire, and that’s when things got interesting. When asked about it, government spokesperson Yoshimasa Hayashi admitted there had been some "minor edits."
He explained that commemorative photos like these are meant to be cherished memories for a long time. So, slight edits aren't uncommon. It’s not just this photo; it seems editing has happened before too. But the internet doesn’t forget easily, and now everyone is talking about the Japanese government’s little Photoshop mishap.
