Jon Jones Says He’s Ready to Move Past UFC Disputes
Jon Jones has announced he is willing to put past disagreements with UFC president Dana White behind him and keep working together.
The two‑division champion stepped away from the heavyweight title earlier this year after refusing to fight interim champ Tom Aspinall, a decision that upset White who had promised the bout would happen.
Shortly after, Jones returned to the drug‑testing pool and pushed for a spot at UFC Freedom 250. He was told he had never been considered for the event, which led him to publicly request a release from the promotion.
Despite the fallout, Jones recently appeared at UFC 329, cornering Gable Steveson and posing for a photo with White. In an interview, he stressed that business can’t be hindered by personal issues:
“You can’t hold grudges if you want to make big money,” he said.
“I’ve made Dana millions, and he’s earned me plenty.”He added that while they may not be friends outside the ring, he still respects White’s role in his career:
“He probably won’t invite me to his house for Christmas,” Jones joked, “but he changed my life and will always be a ‘homie’ for me.”
Jones confirmed he remains under contract with the UFC and is still part of the testing pool, keeping the option open to return to competition.
