This revelation came after his spouse Bianca Censori, observed West’s personality during their time together, and observed that his symptoms did not align with the original diagnosis of bipolar disorder. Instead, she encouraged him to seek a second opinion, which led to the autism diagnosis. Censori, an Australian architect, has clearly been a thoughtful and supportive figure in West's life. Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder, which West described as taking him to a "Rain Man" state, referencing the 1988 movie about a man who discovers his brother is autistic and his behaviours. The film "Rain Man" might be a rough example of what West thinks his own condition might be like. This movie portrays the extreme difficulties of living with the disorder. West has four children with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. He has decided to steer clear of medication when dealing with the episodes that autism can bring about.
