Kellogg's Cross Country Shines at State Meet

In the heart of Idaho, the Wildcat boys from Kellogg took to the trails at Eagle Island State Park for the 3A State Cross Country Meet. Senior Ryken White led the pack, and with his teammates Nolan and Davin Harju, Alex Cassidy, Buck Coe, Shadrach Creswell, and Gage Pierce, they all managed to finish in the top 100. Ririe snagged the team title, and Corbin Johnson from North Fremont was crowned the individual champion. The boys from Kellogg didn't just run; they left a mark. Their seventh place finish was something to be proud of, especially considering the tough competition. Ririe, Malad, and West Side were just a few of the teams breathing down their necks.

Over in Montana, the St. Regis-Mullan football team faced a tough challenge in the Montana 8-Man Playoffs. They visited the Huskies from Belt and, despite their best efforts, couldn't contain the Huskies' powerful offense. The Tigers, playing their first season in the Montana High School Association, had a respectable 8-3 record and qualified for the playoffs for the sixth straight season. Running and playing their hearts out, both the cross country team and the football team showed what they're made of. Their experiences reflect the resilience and spirit of high school sports.
