Picture this: up to a third of school-age kids are dealing with spinal pain. This isn't just a minor discomfort; it can mess with their school days, physical activities, and social time. Right now, we mostly rely on what parents tell us about their kids' pain. But let's face it, kids might experience things differently than their parents think. So, a group of researchers set out to change that. They created a new questionnaire called MySpineData-Kids ("MiRD-Kids").

This isn't your average questionnaire; it's made specifically for kids in the hospital who are dealing with spinal pain. The goal? To get a better understanding straight from the source – the kids themselves. This way, we can provide better care and support tailored to each child's unique experience.
