Kingston is gearing up for an exciting winter sports event at the Springer Market Square. This event, organized by the Downtown Kingston Business Improvement Area (BIA), aims to celebrate sports and the city's rich history.

  • Historical Hockey Game

  • Details: A reenactment of the first hockey game between Queen's students and Royal Military College cadets from 1886. Players will wear old-fashioned uniforms and use a square puck.
  • Public Skate with Kingston Frontenacs

  • Minor Hockey Games

  • Details: Ten minor hockey teams will play five games. The Town Crier will drop the ceremonial puck to kick off the events.
