Kingston is gearing up for an exciting winter sports event at the Springer Market Square. This event, organized by the Downtown Kingston Business Improvement Area (BIA), aims to celebrate sports and the city's rich history.

- Curling
- Time: 6 to 8 p.m.
- Details: The Greater Kingston Curling Association will demonstrate the sport. Visitors can try curling themselves.

- Ringette
- Time: 6 to 8 p.m.
- Details: A fast-paced game similar to hockey but played with a ring instead of a puck.
Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026
- Historical Hockey Game
- Time: Morning
- Details: A reenactment of the first hockey game between Queen's students and Royal Military College cadets from 1886. Players will wear old-fashioned uniforms and use a square puck.
- Public Skate with Kingston Frontenacs
- Time: 4 to 5 p.m.
- Details: Fans can meet their favorite players during a public skate.

- Minor Hockey Games
- Time: All day
- Details: Ten minor hockey teams will play five games. The Town Crier will drop the ceremonial puck to kick off the events.
