L. L. Bean Arrives at Atlanta’s Newest Mixed‑Use Hub

The newest spot for outdoor gear in the state is set to arrive at a lively mixed‑use hub near Atlanta. The development, called Lulah Hills, already hosts theaters, fashion shops and a gelato stand. A fresh addition will bring classic outdoor apparel to the area.

L. L. Bean, a brand that started over a century ago, is known for sturdy jackets, boots and backpacks. The company plans to open a 15‑000 square‑foot store at the Lulah Hills site, which is being managed by a redevelopment firm called EDENS. The location sits in Decatur on Lawrenceville Highway, close to Lulah Avenue and Oak Tree Road.

Georgia shoppers will no longer need to drive into neighboring states for the brand’s signature gear. Previously, the nearest stores were in Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. The new store will be part of the first phase of retail openings next year, though a specific date hasn’t been announced yet.

The choice of Lulah Hills makes sense because the area already attracts visitors with its mix of entertainment and shopping. Adding L. L. Bean fits the theme of a place where people can buy items, watch movies and enjoy a sweet treat all in one trip.
