Leonardo da Vinci's Curiosity in Reproductive Anatomy
Florence, ItalySaturday, January 18, 2025
One thing Leo was really interested in was how humans reproduce. He spent lots of time studying this. He did lots of dissections and drew pictures, showing how babies develop inside the womb. His work helped lay the groundwork for neuroanatomy and understanding the heart and blood vessels too.
But Leo faced challenges. He didn't have ways to preserve bodies like scientists do today. Plus, people back then followed what a guy named Galen said, which wasn't always right. So, Leo made some mistakes too. Yet, his work was incredible for its time.
