LG's Big Step into Micro RGB TVs: What's the Buzz?
A Leap Forward in Display Technology
LG has just revealed its first Micro RGB TV, named the LG Micro RGB Evo. This new tech is a big deal because it uses tiny RGB LEDs instead of the usual white backlight in Mini-LED TVs. It's not replacing LG's famous OLED TVs, but it's a big step forward in color accuracy and brightness.
Key Features of the LG Micro RGB Evo
- Upgraded AI Processor: The a11 AI Processor Gen 3 makes pictures look sharper.
- Micro Dimming Ultra: LG claims this gives OLED-like precision in controlling the LEDs.
- Available Sizes: 100, 86, and 75 inches.
Availability and Competition
LG hasn't announced the price or release date yet, but you can check it out in person at CES in January.
This isn't the only Micro RGB TV out there. Samsung and Hisense are also bringing their versions to CES. TCL has one for the Chinese market too. Each company has a different name for the tech, which might make it confusing at first.
Color Accuracy and Performance
The big selling point of these TVs is their color. They can cover 100% of the BT. 2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB color spaces. LG says their color accuracy has been checked by a company called Intertek.
The Future of Micro RGB TVs
But how will LG's Micro RGB TV compare to the others? We'll have to wait and see. CES will give us a better idea of what's what.
