LG's New Four-Stack OLED: A Bright Future for TVs
Las Vegas, USASaturday, January 11, 2025
So, what's a four-stack OLED panel? It's basically a fancy way of saying LG is stacking more OLED layers in its panels. This isn't new, but LG is adding an extra layer and some special materials to make the TVs brighter and more colorful. Panasonic is doing something similar with its new flagship TV, the Z95B. They're even using a cool new cooling system inspired by race cars to prevent burn-in.
These changes could make your favorite OLED TVs even better. The new panels are supposed to be brighter and more energy-efficient. But we'll have to wait and see if LG's claims hold up. Samsung is also upgrading its QD-OLEDs with a five-stack design. So, which tech is better? Only time will tell.
