Runoff Election Set for January 13
A significant runoff election is taking place in St. Lucie County's District 2 to fill the open seat on the City Commission. The election is scheduled for January 13, as no candidate secured over half the votes in the previous election.
The Candidates
The race has narrowed down to two contenders:
- Chris Dzadovsky
- Former County Commissioner
Secured 40% of the votes in November
- Jaimebeth Galinis
- Corporate Executive
- Received 31% of the votes in November
Donna Benton, who garnered 29% of the votes, is no longer in the running.
Voting Details
- Election Day: January 13
- Polling Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Early Voting: January 3 to January 10
- Early Voting Turnout: Over 8% of eligible voters have already cast their ballots.
Note: Only registered voters in District 2 are eligible to vote in this election.

- Two precincts that were open in November will be closed for this runoff.
