The evening was filled with dramatic moments, including four walk-off wins. Jack Prince of Milton scored the game-winning goal in triple overtime to beat Newburyport, 3-2. Arlington’s Quinlan McNulty-Lue secured a 4-3 win over St. Mary’s in the first overtime period. Woburn’s Jack McEleney scored the winning goal in double overtime to defeat Westwood, 3-2. Chloe Bryda of Bishop Feehan needed only 29 seconds of overtime to give her team a 3-2 win over Lincoln-Sudbury. Winthrop’s Aidan Survilas broke a 2-2 deadlock with 40 seconds left to secure a 3-2 victory over Norwell.
The basketball scene also had its share of excitement. Brooks senior Alex Wilkins had an incredible performance with 47 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists in a 71-62 win over Roxbury Latin. Ryder Frost of Phillips Exeter led his team to a 70-61 victory over Phillips Andover with 29 points. In the MIAA tournament, Bryan Bascones of Worcester South scored 35 points in an 11-of-13 shooting performance, leading his team to a 61-43 win over Burlington. Jimmer Donnelly of Millbury had 26 points in a 60-37 victory over New Heights Charter. Dartmouth men’s basketball, coached by David McLaughlin, made history by qualifying for the Ivy League Tournament for the first time with a 78-58 win over Brown.
The night also saw impressive individual performances. Duxbury senior Megan Carney scored her 100th career point in a 4-1 victory over Canton in the Division 2 tournament.
