Just over a month after its release, Marvel Rivals hit an all-time high of 644, 269 players on Steam alone, compared to Overwatch 2's peak of 75, 361. However, it's not just about the numbers. Marvel Rivals is delivering on promises that Overwatch 2 has struggled with. For example, it's already implemented popular features like a streamer mode and detailed player data, while Overwatch 2 is still catching up. Marvel Rivals' first official season showed that the developers are listening to player feedback. They released a balance patch that addressed common issues, like nerfing powerful heroes and fixing game-breaking abilities. They also banned hardware adaptors that give console players unfair advantages. This responsiveness has built a positive relationship with the game's community.

NetEase has promised to add a new hero every six weeks. This is much faster than Overwatch 2, which adds new heroes every other season.
