Mayor’s New Rules on Youth at Festival
Baltimore, Maryland, USA,Thursday, June 25, 2026
The problems show that quick fixes only touch the surface.
True solutions need to focus on why teens act badly in the first place.
One simple reason is that families often do not set clear rules or expectations for children.
Without a parent to guide them, many teens have no idea how to behave in society.
Some leaders think the government should step in more.
But money alone cannot replace a family that cares for its kids.
The mayor and other officials could ask parents to be more responsible.
They can use laws that encourage good parenting instead of just blaming kids for their actions.
A few local leaders already want parents to step up more in the state.
It is a good sign, but it is not enough yet.
