Paul McCartney stepped back onto the SNL stage after a year‑long absence, debuting the first single from his latest solo album and reviving a beloved Wings classic.
The legendary musician opened the show with “Days We Left Behind,” a gentle, introspective tune that transports listeners back to his Liverpool roots. The track reflects on growing up in a modest neighborhood where community spirit mattered more than wealth.

“The song is part of McCartney’s eighteenth solo album, “The Boys of Dungeon Lane.” He worked with producer Andrew Watt during breaks from his popular Got Back tour.
