Meet Fathom's New Communications Chief: Eric Becker

Fathom Entertainment, known for its global live and recorded content distribution, has named Eric Becker as their new head of communications. Becker, who has a long history in the industry, will be reporting to marketing VP Shannah Miller. His job? To handle all external communications, from media relations to corporate messaging and event publicity. He's taking over from Colette Carey, who left at the end of last year.

Becker spent nearly two decades at Starz, a pay TV network. After Lionsgate bought it, he served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications. After leaving Starz, he started his own PR consultancy, Becker PR, and also worked at ICR, a strategic communication firm. Fathom's CEO, Ray Nutt, expressed excitement about Becker's arrival, noting it's a time of transformation for the company and the industry. Based in Denver, Fathom is co-owned by major theater chains like AMC, Cinemark, and Regal/Cineworld. They've come a long way from just screening the Met Opera to now offering a variety of events and content in 45 countries and over 1, 100 locations.
