Meet Greg Gumbel: Sports Broadcaster and Family Man

Greg Gumbel, a famous sports broadcaster, passed away on December 27, 2024. He was 78 years old. His family shared the sad news on social media. They said he fought cancer bravely until the end. Greg had a long career in sports broadcasting that lasted over 50 years. People loved his voice and his way of telling stories. Before becoming famous, Greg sold hospital supplies in Detroit. One day, he got a chance to audition for a sports announcer job in Chicago. He was really good at it and got the job. He worked in Chicago for seven years.
