Meet the Picks: Trump's Cabinet Hearings This Week

This week, the Senate will vet several of Trump's Cabinet nominees. These hearings follow weeks of private meetings. Let's see who's up first: On Tuesday, at 9 a. m. , former congressman and military chaplain Doug Collins will face the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee for the Department of Veterans Affairs. At 9:30 a. m. , ex-Fox & Friends host and Army vet Pete Hegseth will meet the Senate Armed Services Committee for Defense. At 10 a. m. , former North Dakota governor and businessman Doug Burgum will head to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee for Interior. Wednesday is another busy day. At 9 a. m. , South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem will meet the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs for Homeland Security. At 9:30 a. m. , former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi will kick off her two-day Judiciary Committee appearance for Justice. At 10 a. m. , ex-Wisconsin congressman and Fox Business co-host Sean Duffy, ex-Texas congressman John Ratcliffe, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and fossil fuel exec Chris Wright will all have simultaneous hearings for Transportation, CIA, State, and Energy, respectively. At 1 p. m. , Russell Vought, Trump's former OMB director, will meet the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee again for Office of Management and Budget. Thursday brings more hearings. At 10 a. m. , former NFL player and pastor Scott Turner will meet the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee for Housing and Urban Development. Also at 10 a. m. , ex-New York congressman Lee Zeldin will meet the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee for Environmental Protection Agency. At 10:15 a. m. , Bondi will return for her second Judiciary Committee appearance. At 10:30 a. m. , billionaire money manager Scott Bessent will meet the Senate Finance Committee for Treasury. Some key nominees haven't scheduled hearings yet, like Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Labor, Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence, and Brooke Rollins for Agriculture.
