Billionaire philanthropist Melinda French Gates recently arrived in New York City by helicopter, heading straight to a fancy dinner date with her new boyfriend, Philip Vaughn. This outing comes about three years after her divorce from Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, which she described as incredibly painful. Melinda, now 60, was seen holding hands with Philip, a former Microsoft employee who also founded a craft beer delivery service called Tavour. They both dressed casually, with Melinda sporting a floral scarf and dark pants, and Philip in an Army green T-shirt and aviator sunglasses. Later, they changed into more formal attire for their dinner at the upscale Midtown restaurant Le Bernardin.

Philip worked at Microsoft for nearly nine years, including a stint as a computer programmer. The couple's public appearance comes after Melinda's divorce from Bill Gates in 2021, which she said was difficult but allowed her the privacy she needed to move on. They have three children together, and Melinda mentioned that her main concern during the separation was their well-being. Despite the challenges, Melinda and Bill continued to run the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation together after their separation. The high-profile divorce involved more than $130 billion in assets, as they didn't have a prenuptial agreement when they married in 1994. Philip's craft beer service, Tavour, aims to connect people with unique beers and their communities, reflecting his tech background and desire to create authentic experiences.
