Meta's New Plan: Users Fact-Check Posts

This means users themselves will add context, corrections, or clarifications to posts on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. Zuckerberg thinks this will reduce censorship and let more voices be heard. But experts worry this could lead to more hate speech and make verification harder.

This lets people share real-time updates and diverse perspectives. However, it also comes with risks like misinformation and legal threats. People who speak up about powerful interests can face lawsuits or worse.
