Meth use in Mexican Queer Culture
Saturday, February 8, 2025
Research was done to help us see things from their point of view. Three conversations were held, with a bunch of middle-class gay men, aged 22 to 42. They were openly gay, but they still believed in a society-honored image of masculinity. Which, lets face it, makes them different. These conversations let us explore their ideas about themselves. With their sexual and drug uses linked with a sense of masculinity. There's nothing to do with being bisexual or straight. It was also a social ritual. Gay men in Mexico often use drugs like crystal meth in their sexual experiences. Makes you think, doesn't it?
The findings of the conversations differed. Men there were likely to be involved in sexual activities while using crystal meth, reflecting their masculine self-image. It also combined facts about their identity, sexuality, and masculinity.
These findings highlight how essential it is to research these topics. That intimately connects social behavior to cultural identity, And how they are influenced by drug use. A wide array of topics such as identity, masculinity, and sexual norms have to be looked at when giving advice to people who've had issues with drugs.
