Michael Vick's New Role: Head Coach at Norfolk State

You might know him as the NFL's first 1, 000-yard rushing quarterback, but Michael Vick is stepping into a new role. He's set to become the head coach at Norfolk State University, a historically Black college. Vick, who's 44 now, didn't have any coaching experience before this. Instead, he's been a sports analyst for Fox Sports. Vick was a star quarterback at Virginia Tech before he was drafted first overall by the Atlanta Falcons. He played for 13 seasons in the NFL, with the Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles. While he was known for his passing, he really shone when he ran. In fact, he's the top quarterback in NFL history when it comes to rushing yards.

But Vick's career hit a major snag in 2007. He was involved in a dog fighting scandal and spent time in prison. After that, he made a comeback with the Eagles and even led them to a division title. Now, he's taking on a new challenge as a coach. Vick believes he knows how to lead, but it's a big change from playing to coaching. Other former NFL stars, like Deion Sanders and Eddie George, have also moved into coaching roles at historically Black colleges.
