Missouri's Wild Win: Quarterback Switch, Turnovers, and Defense Shine
Columbia, USASunday, November 10, 2024
Missouri's defense was on point. They held Oklahoma's offense in check, especially in the first half. The Sooners' ground game couldn't get going, and their passing game was worse. Missouri's defense is looking solid, tackling well and operating in a scheme that works.
Coach Kirby Moore might want to get creative with his offense. With a backup quarterback and lots of athletic skill players, why not mix it up? Maybe try some wildcat formations or two-back sets with misdirection. So far, though, the offense hasn't shown much creativity.
Lastly, coach Eli Drinkwitz has this team winning games with a backup quarterback. Pyne played well, and the defense held on long enough for the offense to wake up. Missouri pulled off a big win, and now they're 7-2, ready for their last three games.
