Mobile Tech to the Rescue: Helping Families During Pregnancy and Beyond
GermanyFriday, June 13, 2025
But, there's a catch. Just because an intervention is available doesn't mean families will use it. They need to see the value in it. They need to trust it. This is where acceptance comes in. Families need to accept and embrace these interventions. Only then can they truly benefit from them. So, how do we get families on board? It's a challenge. But, it's one that needs to be tackled.
One way is to involve families in the design process. This way, the intervention meets their needs. It's also important to make the intervention easy to use. Families are busy. They don't have time for complicated tech. Lastly, the intervention should be culturally sensitive. It should respect and value the family's background and beliefs. This is key to gaining their trust and acceptance.
In the end, it's all about the family. Their needs, their preferences, their beliefs. They should be at the heart of any intervention. Only then can we truly improve outcomes for women and children. It's a big task. But, with the right approach, it's possible. Mobile health interventions could be the key. They could help families navigate the tough time around childbirth. They could provide the support they need. But, it's up to us to make it happen.
