NASCAR Teams Up with Homeland Security to Fight Online Child Abuse
USAThursday, January 16, 2025
The Department of Homeland Security has launched a campaign called "It only takes 19 seconds. " This campaign aims to show how quickly an innocent online chat can turn dangerous. NASCAR is spreading the word via its race venues, like Talladega Superspeedway and Martinsville Speedway. The goal is to raise awareness and keep kids safe online.
NASCAR isn't new to community service. Last year, after Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina, NASCAR pitched in to help. They donated money, delivered supplies, and even built portable homes for those affected. This shows that NASCAR isn't just about racing; it's also about making a real difference in people's lives.
