NASCAR's recent decision to strip Austin Dillon of his playoff spot after the Richmond Raceway fiasco has sparked a heated debate in the racing community. He believes that if the same judgment was applied at Richmond, it would have been simpler and more effective.

Hoots, who has extensive experience in racing, believes that NASCAR's lengthy delay allowed Richard Childress Racing (RCR) to file an appeal, which they would have lost anyway. On the other hand, Hoots is pleased with NASCAR's decision to return to Bowman Gray Stadium for the 2025 exhibition event.
