Dark Horse issued a statement saying they take the allegations seriously and won't publish his work anymore. Gaiman denied all claims, stating he’s never engaged in non-consensual sex. The story has been gaining attention since July when Tortoise Media released a podcast covering similar allegations.

The NY Mag article shared experiences from eight women, including a babysitter and a caretaker. They described Gaiman's preference for rough sex and BDSM without consent. Gaiman admitted to being emotionally unavailable but denied assault claims. Several of his TV and film projects have been impacted, including "Good Omens" and "The Graveyard Book. "
