Sheinelle Jones Takes on New Role

The Today Show is making significant changes in 2026. Sheinelle Jones will be the new co-host for the fourth hour of the show, replacing Hoda Kotb, who left earlier this year. The new show will be called "Today with Jenna and Sheinelle" and will premiere on January 12, 2026.

A Familiar Face

Jones has been part of the Today Show team since 2014. She began on the weekend show and transitioned to weekdays in 2019. She has collaborated with many well-known anchors but faced a challenging year last year. She took a break from the show after her husband passed away following a battle with a serious illness. She returned to work in September.

A Heartfelt Announcement

During a recent broadcast, Bush Hager announced Jones as the new co-host. Hager praised Jones as an "extraordinary broadcaster" and her "forever friend." Jones spoke about her difficult year, expressing that her new role brings joy to her family. She described Hager as her "sister."

A Permanent Co-Host

Since Kotb's departure, Hager has had several temporary co-hosts, jokingly referring to it as having "60 first dates." Now, she is excited to have a permanent co-host. The fourth hour of the Today Show airs at 10 a.m. ET every weekday.
