New Leadership Takes the Helm in Santa Clara Schools
Santa Clara County, USAWednesday, April 23, 2025
Toston is excited about his new role. He wants to work with everyone in the county to make education better. He believes that by working together, they can help every student succeed.
The Santa Clara County Office of Education is responsible for a lot. It serves 31 school districts, oversees 21 charter schools, and provides special education and early childhood services. That's a lot of kids to take care of! About 234, 000 students, to be exact.
The board is happy to have Toston on board. They think he has the leadership skills and dedication to make a real difference. They are confident that he will guide the office forward with a clear vision.
Toston's appointment comes after a tough time for the office. The previous superintendent was removed and then sued the board. An investigation also found that the office misused some federal funds. But now, with Toston at the helm, there's hope for a fresh start.
