Some pharmacies expressed confusion about new regulations, requiring additional verification from prescribing physicians. This added layer of scrutiny can delay prescription fulfillment, even when the medication is available. The health department's new website provides an interactive map of Orleans Parish, showing pharmacies with misoprostol. This tool helps patients and healthcare professionals quickly find nearby pharmacies. Avegno plans to expand the survey statewide, particularly in areas with limited reproductive healthcare access.
