NFL Draft: Steelers Scouts Spotlight Key Players at Senior Bowl

The Steelers' scouts were out in full force at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, kicking off the week with a close eye on the draft prospects. The team is looking to bolster their roster, particularly at wide receiver, cornerback, and defensive line positions. The quarterbacks didn't impress too much on Day One. Jalen Milroe, Riley Leonard, Jaxson Dart, and Dillon Gabriel didn't show top-pick potential. Milroe has some hype, but he's not a first-round material. He might be a late Day Two pick, but that's about it. Historically, the Senior Bowl hasn't been a great launchpad for quarterbacks, with Jalen Hurts being one of the few success stories.

Kentucky's defensive tackle Deone Walker caught everyone's attention. At 6-foot-7 and 340 pounds, he's a giant but moves like a much smaller player. His power was on full display when he shoved the center backward in a drill. He's projected to go in the late second to early third round and could be a steal. Virginia Tech's Aeneas Peebles made a strong impression too. He wasn't well-known before, but he showed off his skills by dominating run plays in team drills. He's expected to go in the fifth or sixth round, but his performance might push his stock up. Washington State's wide receiver Kyle Williams is a smaller player but made a great catch on the sideline. He could be a late-round pick and has shown good playmaking ability. He caught 70 passes for 1, 198 yards and 14 scores this season. Jack Bech from LSU is another name to watch. He might go in the second round and showed some promising plays throughout the day.
