NFL's Big Day: Coaches and GMs on the Move as 2024 Wraps Up
NFL, USATuesday, January 7, 2025
Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals are making changes to their coaching staff. They've let go of defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo and several other assistant coaches. The New York Giants are keeping their head coach, Brian Daboll, and GM, Joe Schoen. The Jacksonville Jaguars, however, are parting ways with their head coach, Doug Pederson.
Early rumors suggest more changes could be coming. The Dallas Cowboys' head coach, Mike McCarthy, might be let go when his contract runs out. The Miami Dolphins are keeping their head coach, Mike McDaniel, and GM, Chris Grier, despite a disappointing season. The New England Patriots fired their head coach, Jerod Mayo, after a rough season.
In-season changes were also made. The Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and New York Jets all let go of their head coaches and, in the Jets' case, their GM as well.
