Instead of the usual intense negotiations that marked previous Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) talks, the National Hockey League (NHL) and its Players' Association (NHLPA) are taking a different path this time around. The relationship between the NHL and NHLPA has improved significantly, with both sides being more cooperative. The CBA, set to expire in September 2026, might be extended earlier than usual, showing a shift from past tensions.
