The internet is having a field day discussing Alarmo’s quirks, from its couple dilemma to its name and launch timing. Interestingly, the device was born out of a desire to use motion sensor technology in a new way. Despite considering game elements, Nintendo chose not to gamify sleep to avoid disrupting natural sleep habits. However, one prototype had a rhythm-based feature that sadly didn’t make the final cut.
