Olive Oil Prices Set to Drop: Good News for Consumers

This is great news after a crazy few years where extreme weather led to record-breaking highs. The turnaround is thanks to improving harvests in countries like Spain, Greece, Portugal, and Tunisia. The rain and good weather are really helping these crops bounce back.

Deoleo expects prices to start falling between November and January, as long as the weather keeps playing nice. By next year, if everything goes well, we might see stable, lower prices. The expected price drop from 10 euros to around 5 euros per liter is a big deal. It should help ease the tension in the market and make olive oil more affordable again. But don’t hold your breath just yet. The industry still has some hurdles. Higher quality oils, like Extra Virgin, are still under pressure.
